So speaking of cool things happening in Canada, I was working last night, and we were coming up to the beautiful town of Taber Alberta. And I noticed a lot of yellow flashing lights. Weird I thought… but as we got close, apparently a train derailed, causing about 15-20 train cars all to pile into one-another. I’ve never seen anything like this before, it was one of those once in a lifetime things.

Anyway, so C.P.Rail was on scene big time cleaning up. They removed about 500m of track and were taking the cars apart and taking them away… thank god it was only fertilizer they were hauling. Had it been something flammable, it would have taken out half the town, only because it crashed dead center of the place. But luckily not a business was hit, not a person killed, not a power box was taken out, not even a fence next to the businesses was touched… 20 feet from the tracks! They didn’t even hit any of the train crossing lights! What the fuck! I’m going to post some pics on the fan club.

But here’s the kicker… we wanted to know what happened, so we went to the 7-11… (Right across the highway… with a full view of the chaos), we talked to the girls inside. They said it was a funny story… it happened the night before at 2am… and they never heard a thing… not a sound.

So what does my long and almost pointless story mean… well I don’t want to name any names… Erin… but if a train derails in the woods and you’re the only one around to here it… does it still make a metal crunching, god thundering noise?
